Interested in making your own fall wreath? It is now fall and time to start thinking about fall and Halloween decor if you haven’t already! Fall wreaths are an easy way to get your house ready for the season. As I was searching for something to post for September, I came across this witch wreath on Grandin Road. It is so cute, but that $360 price tag is not. I have made wreaths before and haven’t spent over $150 plus about ~2-3 hours of time.
You will find similar wreaths at home decor and craft stores, such as Pier1 Imports for around $80-100. However, making your own wreath allows you some creativity and personalization!
Witch Wreath Materials
Making your own witch wreath is even easier when someone has researched cute materials for you! If you can catch Hobby Lobby or Michael’s on a sale day or with a good coupon, the price of making this wreath is so cheap!
For the witchy components, try something similar to these:
If you live somewhere that you can gather twigs for the broom, that will give you wreath a more rustic look while saving money on materials.
Ribbon options (you probably want two-three black options and two-three orange options):
And last but not least, pumpkins:
Dip in glitter, paint stripes or dots on, or leave them as is. There are so many options.
Other Materials Needed
You will also need a door hanger, a metal wreath frame, pipe cleaners to tie ribbon on, hot glue and glue gun. Most crafters already have some of these materials, so that cuts costs as well! You can also add little sayings like “trick-or-treat” or “happy halloween” or materials like ghosts, spiders, and anything spooky.
Happy wreath making!
